setting a positive classroom learning tone
demanding high standards of student presentation and handwriting, in line with the school’s bookwork policy
regularly correcting student work and providing feedback to each student
providing a high standard of classroom display that is rich, educationally stimulating and connected to the current unit/term’s work and contains high quality student work and exemplars.
Student engagement
Staff facilitate high student engagement by:

ensuring that each student is given work at a level they can access and which is academically challenging
explicitly teaching social skills as set out in the school’s behaviour program
establishing goals for and with each student and providing feedback to each student on their progress towards their goals.
