Last Tuesday, the Year 9/10 students assisted in catering for the Injune P-10 SS Staff Melbourne Cup Luncheon. After spending the term researching, planning, and testing their menu items, students spent the morning cooking and presenting their individually chosen dishes.
On the menu were three savoury dishes and three deserts: farm salad, macaroni salad with lemon yogurt dressing, roast vegetables, lemon meringue slice, baked cheesecake slice, and chocolate cake. Feedback for both taste and presentation of all dishes was overwhelmingly positive! Excitingly, students are already investigating more catering possibilities for the end of term.
